Pulse Community Healthcare- Adult support worker- Ipswich, Suffolk
Pay range: £9.12-£10.12
Our client has been diagnosed with San Filippo Disease and requires a support worker that is willing to perform clinical interventions in order to provide the necessary support. This will include managing his tracheostomy, PEG, tracheal suctioning, moving and handling, using a hoist and support with pad changes. Drivers are preferential as the client has access to the community with the use of his own vehicle.
This package is a 2 to 1 package; it will require the support worker to be available for the following shifts:
Night shifts: 12 hour shifts Monday to Friday (with the exception of Thursdays)
Day shifts: 10-12 hour shifts -Monday to Saturdays (with exception of Wednesdays)
Despite the complexity of this package, this is a great opportunity for support workers to develop their skills and work in an environment that they would not necessarily experience in alternative establishments. In working in the community, you will be working in the private home of the client- not a residential home or domiciliary care home.
Working in this environment it will require the support worker to take initiative and enjoy working independently without supervision. We will provide you with the necessary tools in order to achieve the standard of care needed this is done through our specialised training and shadow shifts.
