Bank Children’s Healthcare Support Worker
Pay: £14.46ph waking nights (£16.28ph weekends) inc hol
Hours/shifts: Waking nights 9.30pm until 7am

We are looking for confident support workers or healthcare assistants who have previous experience of working within the healthcare sector and are keen to expand their skill set. We require someone to join our team on an ongoing rota basis with the aim of providing support to our male client who is living with a respiratory condition, Aspergers and associated physical disabilities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to move away from typical healthcare settings and work with a young man who has a cheeky personality and a fantastic sense of humour. Supporting our client in the family home will also give you the opportunity to get to know him on a personal level whilst building a strong and trusting relationship with him, his family and your team.

Duties of the role will include:
• Dealing with a PEG feed and enteral feeding system
• Working with a ventilator
• Working with a tracheostomy
• Carrying out skin integrity checks
• Administering medication and nebulisers

Experience in the above clinical interventions would be advantageous however, all our support workers and healthcare assistants (HCA) will undertake specialist training to meet the specific needs of the role.
