Children's Female Support Worker – Complex Care - Christchurch

Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a caring and enthusiastic female support worker to assist our young male client living with various respiratory related health conditions. 

The successful support worker will provide personal care as well as any interventions our client may have; you will need to have a considerate approach whilst providing care for our client. As a leading complex care agency, we are proud to offer specialist respiratory training, giving you the chance to acquire the skills required.

We have part time shifts working Monday to Sunday with a competitive pay rate of £9.00 to £13.00 per hour.

As a Children's Female Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Children's Female Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care to the client
• Tracheostomy management and care
• Managing medication
• Oxygen therapy and oral suctioning
• Respiratory care
• General observations.

The ideal Children's Female Support Worker will have:

• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
