Children's Support Worker – Complex Care – Blandford Forum

Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a caring children’s support worker to assist a male child with global developmental delay, living in the family home.

The successful support worker will be expected to adapt to non verbal forms of communication. To support our clients various needs, we are proud to offer specialist gastrostomy training.

The hours include regular part time or full time shifts (waking nights) working Monday to Sunday. This role offers a competitive pay rate of £10.00 to £12.00 per hour.

Due to the location a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be preferred.

As a Children's Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care to the client
• Gastrostomy and jejunostomy management
• Administering medication
• Moving and handling
• General observations

The ideal Children's Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• A UK Driving licence
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
