Day Support Worker – Complex Care – Wythenshawe

Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking a highly competent and compassionate support worker to join our team. The successful candidate will support our male client who has cerebral palsy. 

We are looking for a confident and outgoing support worker who can help our client remain engaged with the local community. Due to our clients condition support workers will be expected to provide all aspects of personal care as well assisting with various clinical interventions for which specialist training will be provided.

This package offers a competitive pay rate of  £9.63 per hour. Various shifts are available; this can be discussed later in the recruitment process.

As a Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care
• Administering medication
• Mechanical Cough Assist
• Pressure area care
• Oral Suctioning
• Support with Epilepsy

The ideal support worker will have:

• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
