Female Learning Disabilities Healthcare Support Worker – Victoria
Pay: £9.79-11.04ph
Hours/shifts: Monday – Sunday 8am – 8pm

Pulse Community Healthcare are recruiting for experienced healthcare support workers and healthcare assistants (HCA), to join our team in providing support to our female client living with a spinal injury and challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will preferably have had experience of working within secure units, a residential setting or have worked within an SEN School dealing with personal and complex care. Learning disabilities and autism support workers will need to have a consistent and structured approach to work; you will also be proactive in identifying and preventing triggers that can cause anxiety and frustration leading to challenging behaviours.

Complex care duties as a healthcare support worker with us will include:

  • Spinal management

  • Catheter and bowel care

  • Dealing with medication

As a healthcare support worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will:

  • Have paid experience in as a support worker or healthcare assistant (HCA) in a community, residential or hospital setting

  • Have experience in clinical care

  • Be committed to providing the highest standard of compassionate care

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person-centred care

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

All our support workers and healthcare assistants (HCA) will undertake specialist training to meet the specific needs of the role.
