Female Support Worker – Complex Care – Corfe Mullen, Dorset

Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated female support worker to assist our client with various complex needs as well as a learning disability.

Our client is a young adult male and the successful support worker will be expected to provide some personal and respiratory care.  Excellent communication skills are a requirement for this role as our client is non verbal. Specialist training will be provided, giving you the chance to acquire new skills in order to meet all requirements for the role.

The hours we are offering for this role are part time, with a very competitive rate of £9 to £12 per hour.

Due to the nature of the package and shift times a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be essential.

As a Female Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Female Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Providing personal care to the client
• Administering medication
• Seizure awareness
• General observations
• Assisting with light household duties.

The ideal Female Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• A full UK driving licence
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
