Female Support Worker – Complex Care - Newcastle

Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate female support worker to assist our client living with a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease.  

Our female client requires somebody to provide personal care and be comfortable with working with complex respiratory interventions. Communication will be key within this role as our client is non verbal and relies on a good working relationship with support workers. Any relevant specialist training will be provided, allowing you to effectively meet all of the client’s care needs and develop your own skills.

There are a variety of both day and night shifts available paying a competitive rate of up to £8.60 per hour, holiday pay will be paid in addition to standard pay rate.

As a Female Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

 As a Female Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personal care

  • Dealing with medication

  • Managing Tracheostomy care

  • Managing Ventilation requirements.

 The ideal Female Support Worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)

  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good understanding of professional boundaries

  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
