Female Support Worker – Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

Hours – 20:00 – 08:00 waking night

Pay - £11.21 per hour

Are you an experienced Support Worker who has worked within Complex Care for at least 6 months within the last 2 years? Do you like to make a positive difference? Are you looking for stable and reliable shifts on a long term basis? If so, Pulse Community Healthcare would love to hear from you!!

The successful support worker will provide complex care support to our male client living with muscular dystrophy in the Dewsbury area.  Specialist training will be provided tailored to the individual needs of the client.

The role of Support Worker will include;

  • Providing personal care
  • Managing tracheostomy and invasive ventilation
  • Suctioning.

The ideal Support Worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of professional boundaries
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
