Female Support Worker (Live In) – Complex care – Teversham, Cambridge

We are currently seeking compassionate and enthusiastic support workers who are keen to build up their experience within complex care. We require a female support worker from the local area to join our team in Teversham, living and working in our client’s home.

The successful support worker will provide assistance and companionship to our female client who is living with Asperger syndrome and mild learning disabilities; duties include but are not limited to: prompting personal care, medication administration and assisting with day to day tasks and activities. Experience of working with challenging behaviours is preferable, however is not necessary as we provide a range of specialist training which is tailored to the individual needs of our client.

This great new opportunity will pay a highly competitive rate of up to £10 per hour, dependent on experience and you can expect to work one week on with 2 weeks off (Monday to Sunday).

As a Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Prompting personal care
• Medication administration
• Assisting with day to day tasks and activities

The ideal Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential) 
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
