Female Support Worker – Spinal - Wadebridge

Pulse Community Healthcare is searching for a caring and friendly support worker to assist an adult female with a spinal injury.

The successful support worker will be expected to provide personal care, mobilising, bowel management and pressure area care. Our client can present with behaviours of concern so experience in this area would be desirable. Specialist training will also be provided, giving you the chance to acquire new skills in order to meet all requirements for the role.

The hours available are Monday to Sunday 08:00 until 22:00 and 22:00 until 8:00am (waking nights). We are offering a very competitive pay rate of £8.03 to £9.23 per hour. Due to the requirements of this role, we are only considering female applicants.

As a Female Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Female Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care to the client
• Assisting with feeding
• Bowel management
• Managing and administering medication
• Pressure area care
• Moving and handling
• Catheter care

The ideal Female Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
