Female Support Worker – Complex Care – Warrington, Cheshire

We are currently seeking passionate and enthusiastic support workers who are eager to build up their experience within complex care. We require a female support worker to join our team in Warrington, to work in our client’s home and in the community; experience of working within a complex care setting, specifically with tracheostomies and ventilators is essential.

The successful support worker will provide complex care support for our male client who is living with a highly complex care needs; duties include but are not limited to: personal care, moving and handling, respiratory care and medication administration. To enable you to meet the unique demands of this role we will provide a range of specialist training which is tailored to the individual needs of our client. 

Support workers will be required to commit to working a minimum of two 11.5 hour shifts per week including alternate weekends on a rota basis (waking nights – hours to be confirmed). We are offering a highly competitive pay rate of up to £14 per hour, dependent on experience.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Personal care
• Medication administration
• Moving and handling
• Respiratory care (tracheostomy/ventilator care and management, tracheal suctioning)

The ideal Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential) 
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
