Male Senior Support Workers and Support Workers for Learning Disabilities and Autism - Durham
Pay rate: £10.51 to £11.51 per hour
Hours: 7am to 7pm, Monday to Sunday.
Pulse Community Healthcare are currently recruiting for a highly competent and experienced support worker to join our team working with our client that has a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities and ASD. Previous history of working within a supported living environment would be ideal.
As a Support Worker with Pulse Community Healthcare you will ideally have a history of working with individuals who have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities and Autism in a supported living environment. Our client is a male who has a love of being out in the garden, the successful support worker will be encouraging the individual to actively engage with the community.
In order to support you with the unique demands of this package we provide a range of specialist training; Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA), bespoke restraint and breakaway training, bespoke Autism training and Positive Behavioural Support. The successful Support Worker will need to offer structure and consistency for our client as well as managing boundaries and direction around expectations of behaviours.

UK paid experience in Health and Social Care
Driving Licence is essential
A good understanding of professional boundaries
Knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
