Male Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Autism – Manchester

Pay rate: £12 - £18 per hour

Hours: 7am to 10:30pm and 10pm to 7:30am

Pulse Community Healthcare are currently recruiting for a highly competent and experienced support worker to join our team working with our client that has a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, ASD and behaviours of concern.

As a Support Worker with Pulse Community Healthcare you will ideally have a history of working with individuals who have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, Autism and behaviours that may challenge. The successful support worker will be encouraging the individual to actively engage with the community.

In order to support you with the unique demands of this package we provide a range of specialist training; Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA), bespoke restraint and breakaway training, bespoke Autism training and Positive Behavioural Support. The successful Support Worker will need to offer structure and consistency for our client as well as managing boundaries and direction around expectations of behaviours.

The ideal Support Worker will have:

  • A NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is preferred but not essential

  • UK paid experience in Health and Social Care

  • Driving Licence is essential

  • A good understanding of professional boundaries

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
