Mental Health Support Worker - Bradford

Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking experienced Mental Health and Autism Support Workers to join our team supporting clients in the Bradford area with a diagnosis of a Mental Health condition and Autism.

As a Mental Health and Autism Support worker you will be working as part of a team to offer structure and consistency whilst maintaining boundaries and encouraging personal choice. We are looking for an excellent communicator who is happy to encourage positive behaviours within a social setting. The ideal candidate ideally will have had experience of working within secure units, a residential setting or have worked within a SEN School.

In order to support you with the unique demands of our packages we provide a range of specialist training which is tailored to the individual needs of our client. This training includes the following; Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA), Bespoke Autism Training and Positive Behavioural Support.

We have a variety of day shifts available paying up to £12.33 per hour.

As a Learning Disabilities and Autism Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

The ideal Learning Disabilities and Autism Support Worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)

  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good understanding of professional boundaries

  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team
