Night Care Worker – Spinal - Bridgend

As a leading complex care agency, Pulse Community Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a care worker to work with an adult male who requires support with a spinal injury.

The successful care worker will have a positive and confident approach when assisting with a daily routine. You will have the chance to build a trusting and professional relationship with our client and in return you will receive a high level of training.

Working 12 hour night shifts we are happy to offer a competitive rate of £8.99 per hour. (Holiday pay rate will be paid in addition to the standard pay rate)

Due to the nature of the package and shift times a UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be preferred.

As a Support Worker/ Care Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Complex Care Support Worker/ Care Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care to the client
• Managing medication
• Moving and handling
• Assisting with PEG feeding
• Catheter care.

The ideal Support Worker/ Care Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• A UK Driving licence
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
