Female Support Worker – Complex Care - Wigan

Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate support worker to work with a young male client living with a respiratory condition.  

As a Support Worker you will be required to assist our client when attending college, social events and any leisure activities. Due to the nature of our client’s condition clinical interventions related to his condition will be necessary. Specialist training will of course be provided to allow you to effectively meet all of the client’s care needs and develop your own skills.

This package involves a variety of shifts with competitive pay rates of up to £13 per hour.

As a Support Worker for Pulse Community Healthcare you will benefit from:

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:

  • Tracheostomy care and management

  • Providing personal care to the client

  • Dealing with medication

  • Moving and handling

  • Supporting with communication.

The ideal support worker will have:

  • A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

  • A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)

  • Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK

  • Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good understanding of professional boundaries

  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
