Support Worker – Learning Disabilities and Autism – Middlesbrough
Pay rate: £8 per hour
Hours: Short Weekend Shifts
Pulse Community Healthcare is currently recruiting for a highly competent and experienced support worker to join our team working with our client that has a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, ASD and Epilepsy.
As a Support Worker with Pulse Community Healthcare you will ideally have a history of working with individuals who have a diagnosis of Learning Disabilities, Autism and Epilepsy. The successful support worker will be encouraging the individual to actively engage with the community and increase clients skills. Our client is a male who enjoys going bowling and has a big passion for music.
In order to support you with the unique demands of this package we provide a range of specialist training; Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA), bespoke restraint and breakaway training, bespoke Autism training and Positive Behavioural Support. The successful Support Worker will need to be confident in managing behaviours in a positive way and enthusiastic way.

The ideal Support Worker will have:
UK paid experience in Health and Social Care
Driving Licence is preferred but not essential
A good understanding of professional boundaries
Knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
