Male Support Worker Nights – Sully

Pulse Community Healthcare is searching for an enthusiastic support worker to assist our client with Cerebral Palsy.

Our client is a male adult who requires support with personal care, medication and PEG feeding. Working 1:1 the successful support worker will be required to have excellent attention to detail. Previous experience in care work is desirable and specialist Epilepsy and PEG training, relating to our clients condition, will be provided.

The shifts available are 21:00 until 08:00 (waking nights) working Monday to Thursday. We are offering competitive pay rates of £8.99 per hour.

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
• Providing personal care to the client
• Administering medication
• Assisting with PEG feeding.
• Oral suctioning
• Seizure management
• General observations

The ideal Support Worker will have:
• A diploma level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
• A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
• Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good understanding of professional boundaries
• Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
