Support Worker – Wigan
Pulse Community Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate female Support Worker to join our team working with a young male client living with a neurological and respiratory condition.
As a Complex Care Support Worker you will be required to assist our client when attending college, social events and leisurely activities. Our client is very active and lives life to the full so ideally you will be keen to promote independence and person centred care. Due to the complexity of this role we require a support worker who has previous experience within complex care. Pulse bespoke in house specialist training will be provided to allow you to effectively meet all of the client’s care needs and develop your own skills.
This package involves a variety of 12 hour day and night shifts with competitive pay rates of up to £13 per hour.

As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
•Tracheostomy care and management
• PEG management
•Providing personal care to the client
• Inspiring Independence
• Working well within a team
•Moving and handling
•Supporting with communication.
• Assisting with leisure and college days (transport is provided)
The ideal Support Worker will have:
•Experience within a complex care environment within the community
•A current enhanced DBS on the update service (preferred but not essential)
•Previous paid experience in Health and Social Care in the UK
•Good knowledge of safeguarding and person centred care
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Good understanding of professional boundaries
•Ability to use own initiative and work as part of wider team.
