£32,000 - £40,000 Full Time, Permanent

Pulse Community Healthcare is currently looking to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable Nurse to work with our complex care packages as a Regional Clinical Lead. You will be using your clinical expertise to support our clients, their families and our workers within a number of our care packages to ensure excellence in service delivery. 

You will be:

A band 6 or above Nurse with experience in complex care.
Passionate about delivering excellence in clinical and holistic care.

Key Tasks:

Client Management
Undertake comprehensive risk assessments such as manual handling, medication etc. 
Undertake clinical assessment of needs for new packages of care
Write and review care plans and risk assessments on clinical changes or minimum annual requirements
Promote Independence wherever possible
Undertake annual reviews of care packages
Develop and maintain relationships with clients 
Manage client needs
Manage the clinical aspects of the care in partnership with other healthcare professionals
Provide ongoing clinical advice
Ensure timely reports of incidents and/or complaints

Worker Management

Interview, supervise, appraise and coordinate nurses and Support Workers within Care packages
Identify training needs of nurses and Support Workers
Spot Checks
Assess and maintain competencies of the staff working in the packages
Establish & maintain Workers competency files – ensuring required competencies are completed for all necessary workers.
Maintain ongoing relationship with workers, whether available to work or not.
Provide clinical advice to workers within packages
Actively participate in appraisals and re validation
Review all daily records and ensure appropriate actions are identified and followed through

Quality Control

Assists with ensuring branch’s compliance with relevant quality policies and procedures and legislative requirements and keeping up to date with changes as determined by the Company, Clinical Governance and Quality and Compliance team
Assists with ensuring all nurses and support workers cleared for work are compliant with internal recruitment policies and procedures
With the rest of the team ensures that the branch is always ready for Audits by external authorities and the internal Quality and Compliance team 
Ensure all checks are carried out in line with legislative guidelines and Company standards
Responsibility for answering incoming calls efficiently  – presenting a professional and businesslike manner at all times
Resolve clinical complaints/problems quickly & accurately following appropriate procedure
Adheres to the company’s health and safety policies and procedures, reporting issues to management if required
Assist/undertake investigations for incidents or complaints

Further Duties

Maintain current NMC registration
Maintain own skills and competencies ensuring adequate CPD
